Spring on the Mongollon Rim.

As it is starting to warm up here in Northern Arizona the huge amount of snow we got this winter is beginning to melt. Lakes are filling up, streams are flowing strong, and if you know where to look, there are waterfalls to be found.

Chaz and I went out for an adventure to a waterfall I’ve never been to before. Some forest roads are still closed and impassible but others are fine (and open) if you have a high clearance vehicle.

More images to come, I plan to find more places to capture this altered landscape. There are lakes where all my life I have only seen meadows. For the most part the snow on the Sam Francisco Peaks hasn’t even begun to melt. I can’t wait for this summer and this land of lakes to explore. Stay tuned for more very soon.
